Hello thefiringline,

Im new to these forums so I thought id start out with my experience with my new CZ 455 Lux .22lr. Out of the box I was getting very tight groups, my best was .2 in
5 shot group at 50 yards. Fit and finish are excellent, smooth bolt and nice single stage trigger. Im impressed!

Good on you. Great gun. I bought the 455 American for my daughter. She kicked but with it last year at the 4H shooting matches. Here she is with a fox that was killing her chickens. She took it off-hand at about 60 yards. Shot it right through the heart. Good luck with your new gun.

They are beautiful rifles. I also wanted one until I found out the safeties are backwards. It would be too hard for me to switch back and forth between one like that and my other rifles and shotguns that have normal (forward to fire) safeties.

I love my CZ 455. The best grouping ammo I've found for mine is SK standard plus. The only weak link (if there is one) in these guns is that the trigger pull is a little heavy for precision work for most people. I put a lighter spring and adjustable sear kit in mine from Diversified Innovative Products http://www.diproductsinc.com/Products.aspx?CAT=3600

It lowered my pull weight from 4.5 pounds to 10 ounces and eliminated all pre-travel, and is still completely safe.

Mine is the varmint model. Love that turkish walnut -

Great looking rimfire platform. I'm really liking the precision trainer also.
From what I've read in reviews and on forum chats, the CZ makes a very good precise rimfire for the money. If you can consistently average groupings of that size you've left a bunch of precision pneumatic pellet rifle enthusiast in envyfull jealousy......

They can be great shooters.
The suppressed 455 I have here has out-shot a 527 .223 at 100 yards.
