First post, 9mm supressor question

Howdy all,
new member here with a few quick questions. I own a S&W model 5906 9mm, and I'd like to get a supressor for it. First, I assume I need a new barrel for it that is longer and threaded on the end. Are barrels generally available, or am I looking at something custom made? Second, what brand supressor do you all recommend? I've heard good things about Gemtechs, also Evo brand? Any information/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
