First Flight into La Guardia Since Being HR 218 Qualified

Anyone having any DIRECT knowledge of how the Port Authority of NY-NJ at La Guardia Airport view LEOSA qualified retirees flying in or out of there with high capacity mags, please advise.

I'd really like to know before I step in any deep "Big Apple" fecal material.
The year old Federal law could reasonably be interpreted to supercede NYC's PL 265, which makes possession of them a Class D Felony, and allow them for visiting active and "qualified retired" LEOs.

I much prefer to bring along a "fully loaded" Glock 19, but I'm not going to go out and buy some 10 rounders just for the trip. I do have other options but they do not include going into the city UNARMED AGAIN. I've done that too often already and the Law of Averages is bound to still be in control of Mr. Murphy.

I've tried to contact someone directly at PANY-LGA but have gotten NOWHERE.

When I last inquired, I was asked if I was on official departmental business. I said that I was not. The person I spoke with said I could not possess a firearm with or without a hi-cap magazine. They consider out of state, not on official departmental business, retired officers as visiting civilians. They even gave me chapter and verse about not being able to transport a firearm or ammunition under ICC R&Rs. I didn't. They said a out of state officer on official departmental business would need a letter from their CLEO or a Governors warrant to carry firearms. Things could have changed in 6 months though.

Sir William, is what they said any kind of match for what the LEO nationwide reciprocity LAW actually stipulates?

What good is it if the local city laws can supercede it? Wasn't the law written to avoid exactly that happening?

By the way, I note that Captain38 considers himself to be at risk going into NYC unarmed and says he won't allow that to happen again.

I ask police officers everywhere to mobilize yourselves to help get nationwide reciprocity enacted for ALL of us. To not do so is really being the worst kind of elitist. Surely you all do not think that YOU should be entitled to protect yourselves in NYC, but WE should not be so entitled?

NYC is legally bound to obey the federal Law.

Of course, that doesn't mean the NYPD/NYPort Authority obey the law.
