First compliment at the range!

As I was finishing up at the range today an older gentleman that had been shooting next to me chatted me up and asked what I was shooting. Told him my 226 with the .22 kit on it. He then pointed to one of my targets and said "that's good shooting". Chatted for a bit about firearms after that, was nice to meet a friendly person at the range and get complimented by a more experienced shooter. Attaching a shot of the target, I gotta say I am kinda proud of it given the length of time I've been shooting pistols. This target was 50 rounds at 7 yards. 49 in the center with one in the head area for good measure :D Paper people are dangerous they just don't go down! lol

A compliment goes a long way escpecially if you can tell its sincere by your grouping lol. I compliment people on their shooting and have been on mine esp with my S&W 1911 45ACP. people that come to the range to try my guns try that and cant hit squat. Then I pick it up and at 30ft. theres a nice little group of holes touching ;).

Pearl River Wildlife Management Area, northeast of New Orleans, has a very well organized and managed shooting range: Honey Island Shooting Range. It is easier to say that I have not met any ill mannered shooters and range officers at the range. During cold range intervals conversations with other shooters are friendly and informative. Friendly range officers are helpful and highly safety conscious.

Range is open to the public from Friday afternoons thru Sunday. Check http://www.honeyisland.org/ for details.
