First Colt abandons ship, Ruger stumbles, S&W sell it's soul and now Glock...

My next question is how long can Beretta hold out?? My favorite Handgun manufacturer (4x's over now) has itself pretty firmly implanted but how long can they last, no man or Company is an island unto itself. So here is an idea, let us consolidate a list of non conciliatory gun manufacturers along with thier e-mail addresses and praise them for thier NOT folding under pressure. Rather than sending them scalding e-mails after the fact (which we are quick to do) Build them up now so they will not fold as pressure mounts! Beretta USA has an e-mail through it's leadership forum, the womans name is Maryanne Albert, her e-mail is malbert@berettausa.com I believe that we should be just as quick to praise as we were to condemn. Our last assault that involved Beretta resulted in legal action by Beretta against HCI, both websites still bear the scars from last September, Beretta still has it's big blue disclaimer and HCI must look at that nasty disclaimer of theirs every day as yet another stinging reminder that they lost once again to Beretta. HCI would like nothing more than to trip Beretta up and watch her fall in line with the others. As it will love to watch other Gun manufacturers fall in as well. Lets start with this one and start compiling more, let us all go out and praise those that remain faithful, and they may very well be able to call the rest back into the fold. We as a group mounted a very successful campaign before why should't this one be even moreso??

here is the article that started this little tirade..... http://www.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/03/20/glock.settle/index.html or

Here let me add a little more fuel to the fire... http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/20000321/t000026817.html

...“ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN SMITH & WESSON AND
THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE TREASURY AND HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT,
LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND STATES

SUMMARY OF TERMS

Preamble: The city, state, county and federal parties agree to dismiss the parties from the pending
suits and refrain from filing suits against the manufacturer parties based on an equivalent cause of
action.

In simpler terms. If Klinton can't deliver, there is no deal. He has not delivered!

I've got all the Glocks I need. Won't be buying anymore now that they are kissing ATF's ass.

Glock is gonna cave to get a piece of the LEO market--can't let S&W have it all to themselves!

So how big is this market anyway? It is 1/3 of S&Ws business they say, now if Glock takes away half of that...well I see the
sharks fighting over a shrinking market share if we civies boycott. Other companies will also cave so they can get LEO
contracts. I don't think they can all survive on LEOs alone.

The chronology listed in the title of this thread needs some correcting, since it was in fact Bill Ruger who started the trend of selling out the gun industry. Ruger was the first gunmaker to endorse the idea of limiting magazine capacity (to protect his P-series handguns from competition by Glock) to support banning imports of semi-auto rifles (to protect his Mini-14) and to testify in Congress in support of the Brady Bill (no reason given for that treachery). And I'll bet that after Glock and Taurus sign the new deal with HUD, Ruger will be eager to do so as well. But it won't be the first time Ruger has plunged the knife into an unsuspecting back.

I apologize for the Chronological error, however Glock hasn't rolled yet, so my request remains, lets compile a list of addresses and or e-mails of the non conciliatory gun manufacturers and praise them for their stand, I started with Beretta as it has taken the brunt of HCI's and the State and Federal Governments crap and turned it all back around they are fighting the good fight to this point as are several other gun manufacturers. Send them some Laudatory comments.
