First bow kill.

Not a huge trophy or anything but I shot my first deer with a bow last friday. It was a Doe that went 110 lbs. I got more worked up shooting her then my Nice buck with a rifle last season. I had to shoot a doe because I only bought a doe permit for the expanded zone. She doesn't count against my regular archery season or rifle season. Shot her at 9 yards with my new Switchback LD using 100 gr. Muzzy. Now I just have to get my moose with a bow this season. Well I'm hooked. Here she is, she is a trophy to me and dang good eating.

Congrats! That's a fine lookin' doe. And with a bow, too! You bow hunter guys have so much more patience than I do.......:o

First bow deer

Congratulations......:)

Unfortunately for you, you have now been infected with what has been called bowitis..Where you will find yourself regularly enjoying shoot your bow and will contemplate using it to harvest game throughout the year instead of your usual fire arms....

Fear not you will not critical status until you find yourself bowhunting in mid winter at 10 below:D....

Thanks guys. I've got a Maine bull Moose Tag to fill in 2 1/2 weeks. Going to try and take it with the bow and at the very least my .44 Super Black Hawk hunter revolver.

Congrats! That's a fine lookin' doe. And with a bow, too!

Great looking animal! Great success.

Unfortunately you have now embarked on an irreversible path!

Have fun and great job.

Good luck on the next hunt!

Thanks for all of the Congrats.

I will have myself, my father, my uncle and his john deer tractor with 300ft logging winch. If it goes into the thick stuff I know this guy who has a logging skidder and he said he would be more than happy to help.

Outstanding

Oh, that is nice - good job. You won't forget that one, and you may get hooked, as people have said. I got my first deer with bow last year, and have since bought 3 more bows. It's a hoot to have a deer that close and not see or smell you - got mine at 7 yards.
