first black powder purchase

hello all, i think i am going to purchase my first black powder revolver soon. im considering a ruger. i really like the sp101 and gp100, as well as the rest of their wheelgun line. this will be my first black powder and i have no experience with them. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well if you like Ruger's SP101 and GP100, you're gonna like the Old Army too. In my opinion it's probably the best black powder revolver ever made.

The 5.5" barrel Old Army with Sim. Ivory grips in Stainless looks awful nice, to boot.

I have the Old Army in both stainless & blue. Both are 7 1/2". If I were to get another, I'd go 5.5". But, that's not what you asked. You wanted advice about using a BP revolver.
