First AR - OlyArms questions

I've have the opportunity to buy a brand new PCR-5 but I'll be the second owner. One of the things that attracted me to OlyArms was the lifetime warranty. But from what I hear - the Lifetime warranty ONLY applies to the original owner. Can someone confirm that?? IF something goes wrong with the PCR-5, I'm up the creek... How does the Oly Arms compare to the other brands? Armalite, BM colt?
Also, is $650 a good price for one of these?

The way things are right now, $650 is a great price. I'd jump on it. One nice thing about AR type rifles in general, if anything goes wrong or doesn't work there are tons of parts available. I don't have that much experience with Oly's, but they are one of the smaller name-brands and have been around for a long time. Hope this helps.

Something to look out for: Some of the earlier Oly's had cast lowers of so-so quality. If the lower is forged the quality is very good. OlyArms makes great barrels.
