I can look past the flaws, especially since none of those has ever happened to me.
I found TFL some years ago, and finding a place where the mention of guns in anything other than disparagement didn't bring a rash of caustic comments about my "sexual fetishism" was a breath of fresh air, and most welcome.
Sticking to language and behavior suitable for the pastor's parlor, or tea with your maiden aunt might seem anachronistic, and its sometimes difficult, especially with current popular entertainment teaching us how cool it is to be rude, crude, and lewd, but "old fashioned" behavior not only keeps discussions where they ought to be, but shows us to be reasoning, responsible individuals.
Or, at least, that's the idea. Some of us manage it easier than others.
There are some wonderful people here, who "have the knowing of a great many things", I've had some delightful discussions and even been thanked a time or two for my insights or sharing some of my experiences. For me, that makes being here worthwhile.
Thank you totalloser, too.
