Firing an S&W DA with Fiocchi Ammo

Thanks for sharing E D.

I love shooting my little top-breaks. I call them peashooters. I load whimpy cast bullet loads for mine, but accuracy is pretty amazing.

I notice yours has a lanyard on the grip, which I've never seen. Spose it's original?? jd

I am not sure what he proved. The .38 DA Fourth Model was made 1898-1907 and most (if not tampered with) are just as solid and reliable today as they were when made. And he fired only SA and I wonder why; the DA on those guns is a bit stiff, but nothing a person with normal hand and finger strength can't use.

Nice old gun.

What is the trigger pull like? It did look as if there was a fair amount of strain in single action.

There shouldn't be; the SA pull on the older guns is a bit heavier than on a typical S&W revolver today (which will run 2 3/4 to 3 pounds), but not anything excessive.
