FireStorm Mini9

Picked up a FireStorm Mini 9 recently. Put a couple boxes of Winchester 115 gr FMJ through it this week without any problems. Seems to be a very solid, relatively accurate shooter. No hammer bite, no FTF, no stovepipes, just a rock solid pistol.

Only came with one magazine, unfortunately. Ten round OEM mags run $50. <OUCH!> Do any owners/shooters have any knowledge of substitute mags which will fit? I did a quick search of CDNN, but didn't find anything. It's funny, I wouldn't hesitate to buy at that price for a hicap. Sometimes you hafta pay to play.

Apparently these are made by Bersa of Argentina.

Both of mine also came with just 1 mag. Paid full price for factory mags as extras. Don't know who makes aftermarket ones for the Mini. Luckily for me, I had purchased a Bersa Thunder9, which the Mini is based on, before the mag limit and have a couple hi-caps (which extend below the grip of the Mini) that fit the gun.

Just curious, who did you get your's from? Got mine from J&K at the Medina gun show (on two seperate occassions).

The mini 9 is basically a cut down Fullsize ....I wonder if the fullsize mags would work....might be worth checking into.
Shoot well

I purchased it from the Ammostore (Wayne, OH). The vendor was at the April Maumee Valley Gun Collectors gun show in Bowling Green. Normally he only brings ammo to these shows, but this time he brought a collection handguns as well. I was looking for a CZ, but the vendors who frequent this show don't seem to stock them.

I don't have much experience with their 9's but I do have a FireStorm 45. Is the 9 a 1911 based pistol? If so, you may get lucky by trying a mag from any other 1911 based 9. My FireStorm 45 will feed from any 45ACP 1911 mag I give it. Good luck though.

No, it is not a 1911 based pistol. In any case the form factor is significantly different. The Mini 9 is about the same size as a Taurus PT111. From what I've read, the FireStorm(Bersa) Mini 9 and the 45 are made by separate companies, but are imported by the same company and carry the FireStorm name here. I'm just being cheap. :D
