I picked up a new .45 today. This is my 2nd *new* gun. All of the rest have been used. It is one of those dual-tone finishes and it looks and smells so sweet. I almost don't want to shoot it yet because it is so clean. I am happier with this than I was when I bought my new Chevy last summer. I know I have to shoot it soon though. The suspense is killing me. Does anyone else have a FireStorm .45? (formerly Llama) If so, do you know for sure if 1911 magazines are interchangeable? Thanx for listening to me ramble folks. :-)

Hey, lots of luck with the new purchase :) Let us know how it does ;) I was looking at those myself,Curious on the quality and durability.
Hope they work as good as they look.

Happy Shooting :)

Well without shooting it yet, it has a few plus's going for it. First was price. I paid $300 new in box. Second is the size. I have somewhat smaller hands so a full framed Colt is a little bulky. The model I bought is labeled as "COMPACT" and is about the same size as my Glock 22. Third is that I have 2 close friends that carry Llamas regularly and have had no jams whatsoever. I may get out to shoot it tomorrow. It's driving me nuts not to.

Well, I shot it today. It was sweet. I only had one glitch. The hammer stuck once in an over-cocked position so squeezing the trigger didn't release it. I got that problem worked out though. The extractor smacks the rims kind of hard. It puts a good dent in them. I don't reload so I am not that concerned. It could also be the cheap ammo I was using. It was that All-American copper coated stuff in the clear plastic box. The brass looked like **** before it went through my gun. I won't be buying any more of that.

How did the gun do in the accuracy department? What are your overall opinions on its quality, fit and finish? Is it a keeper?
Inquirering minds want to know :D
