They've been advertised in SGN for the last few months. I just saw them at the last show. The dealer said they were made by Llama, which would make them South American? If you can believe the dealer. HTH, Tom

definitely Spanish.

Isn't Firestar the wreckage of Llama, Star, and Astra? What happened in the Basque to cause such mass consolidation of manufacturers? New legislation?

Take the long way home...

Star and Astra are respectable arms makers - or should I say WAS.
Llama was and still is a hunk'O'crap.
I thing I would pass on this Firestorm if Llama has anything to do with this company.

I over heard some one that Taurs might have a part of this compnay could it be? If so would it be worth geting one for fun?
I am trying to see if its true. if any of you guys know please post.

In handling one, I've noticed that the slide-frame fit is better than most of the Charles Daly's that I have seen. For $290, it looks like a pretty good deal. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty. As for the downside, the sights stink and the grip screws are in the wrong location to take replacements. Fortunately the stock rubber grips are better than the plastic junk on the Daly.

I'm considering one just for fun, but I'd like to hear some more oppinions first.

The local gun range just got 3 in the other day. They said the pistol was made by the same company that makes the Bersa. The FireStorm is supposed to be the upgraded Thunder 380, according to her distributor. We tried the magazines, and they worked in either pistol. They list it for $269.99. I have a Bersa 380, has never failed to go POP.
