Firearms Instructor Conference

Just returned from a 1 week long law enforcement firearms instructors` conference. Over 300 officers attended. At this time, I would like to share with our members that many of these officers are equally concerned about losing our Second Amendment Rights. No one wants to think about what lies in the future if Gore is elected as President. There is also a lot of disgust about the high capacity magazine ban and "evil features" of semiautomatic rifles.

Why doesn't this group come out against Al Gore? All we see are the anti gun cop groups.

The LEAA, by the way, is known as a branch of the NRA so it is not that impressive.

[sigh]Someday I'll get my department to sponsor me to go to such a conference. Talk about being paid to do what you love to do![/sigh]

EnochGale - I suspect that we`re 501(c)3 (non-profit educational organization and by limitations, non-political) and therefore cannot engage in political endorsements or statements.

LongPath - Quite a few folks paid for themselves. Next one will be in Reno, NV and the one after that in San Diego, CA. I plan to attend both of them. If nothing else, attendance and expenses are tax deductible. BTW, let me know if you`re not already a member of IALEFI. I`ll sponsor your membership if you want.
