Firearms, Ammo and reloading database

Hey guys, I used Re-loader's Reference for about 7 years and it was absolutely awesome.. Pictured Firearms inventory and round counter, loaded and spent Ammo inventory, Linked Ammo reload data to each gun.. Most of the popular reloading manuals installed with the ability to add your own pet loads, Targets, box labels, Trajectory and Muzzle energy calculators, Specs for cast bullets, Cartridge dimensions etc.. you name it it was in there..

That computer died recently and the program was never developed to run on anything past XP/Vista.. I'm not sure but I think the author has now passed, sadly..

So I'm looking ahead and wondering what I can get to replace it. I have all my data just can't open the main program anymore..

There were things I never used in the program but they were there for load development/experimentation.

Now, I'm just thinking of a light version of the program maybe in MS access? Something without the built in load manuals, and target generator. Just a Database to keep everything organized. If it is built into MS Access then so long as you have the file, even if the computer crashes you just reload access and then re-load the file and your still in business..

What do you guy's think? Does anyone already know of something that has already been done and they are using?

I have 3 active excel spreadsheets:
1) Guns: make, model, cartridge, date purchase, amount purchase, FFL or private sale, date of manufacture, serial number, notes
2) Dies: bullet diameter, brand, cartridge, function, label, neck size
3) Scopes: brand, serial number, model number, date of manufacture, min, max power, objective size, rifle or handgun, first or second focal plane, amount paid, date of purchase, gun last seen on

I put each cartridge reloading dies, brass, and bullets in a file folder box with label that can be read at 50 feet.

I put 1" scope rings in a file folder box with giant label.
I put 30mm scope rings in a file folder box with giant label
I put Weaver bases in a file folder box with giant label.
I put scopes in file folder boxes with giant labels like "cheap scopes"

On cases of ammo I put post-its on front listing the cartridge.
I put boxes of ammo in file folder boxes with large labels listing the cartridge.

On each gun I put a giant price tag with: Make, Model, cartridge, date purchased, amount paid, serial number, date of manufacture, pencil in any notes of work needed.

A guy over on THR posted a link to fix compatibility issues and voila Loaded and running on Windows 10 and Access 365.. with no loss of Data! The Database is about 8 months out of sync, So I'll have to go thru it on my next rainy day and get things up dated but wow. Nice to be back up and running.
