Firearm reviews question

Not really, or at least in my opinion. Many of them will not outright lie about a gun...rather, they tend to skirt around the known issues of a particular model. IMO

Gun Tests is also often just plain wrong. It's not unusual for their "brutally honest" opinion to be completely unsupported by their own test results. Plus, they have been proven to lie in their claim that they buy every test gun at retail.

I put zero credence in anything they write.

I suppose it was due, been at least a couple months. :)

Editors & publishers are not interested in hatchet pieces.
Space is limited, the gunmags are NOT there to tell you what NOT to buy, and you won't see a total POS review.
You WILL see the occasional wart mentioned, but if a particular gun is just too bad overall to bother with, it won't make print.

When you read the mags, if you do, you take what you can get out of them, as you do any other source of information.

Usually just positive or neutral reviews because the gun makers are paying to advertise in the magazines and the wrighters don't want to bite the hand that feeds them.
