Fiocchi shotgun shells

Are Fiocchi shotgun shells reliable enough for your home defense shotgun?

I know ever shotgun is different; however I was concerned about the quality and quality control of Fiocchi vs remington or winchester
 
I would rank Fiocchi in the same catagory as many American manufacturers. Fiocchi isn't like S&B and PRVI, they are REAL quality. The others I mentioned are ok as well, but I probably wouldn't go to them primarily for HD/SD. I would use them if I had to, though.
 
I have put hundreds of fiocchi low recoil 00 buck through my mav 88 with zero problems. Fiocchi is a steal for the quality vs price!

+1 on that! I would also add wolf, nobel sport and rio to the list of 2nd tier shotgun ammo manufacturers!
 
I prefer the Fiocchi in my 500 over most other's I've tried. It gets a steady diet of their low recoil 00 buck and it's always been good to it. I like it cause it's reliable and cheap enough that I can practice with the same ammo I keep in it.

The box of Fiocchi 12HV00BK I'm looking at clearly says

LOADED IN THE USA
FIOCCHI OF AMERICA, INC.

It's as good as any other 'big name' ammo- it IS big name ammo IMHO.

Fiocchi, as mentioned, is made here, as are Kemen and Rio. They all make a variety of products for a variety of uses. Fiocchis are well thought of in the shotgun target realm, and their Golden Pheasant loads are considered by many to be THE best load for those wily ringnecks
 
We had this discussion last week - but I see a fair number of problems with 12ga Fiocchi shells around my club - primarily with shells sticking in chambers and not ejecting.

I don't trust them for target shells or in the field.

I will continue to rely on Remington for Target shells and in the field. I don't buy Tactical ammo - so I don't have any experience with their tactical shells.
 
I use Fiocchi almost exclusively for clay shooting, and I've never had a problem of any kind with them. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for H.D.
 
Well gawlee. I didn't know Fiocchi manufactured in the USA. Probably been here for some time, too, now haven't they.

Oh well, thanks for the correction.
