Fiocchi Mouse Gun Ammo

Kentucky Rifle

New member
I purchased a box of Fiocchi FMJ in .32 caliber. It did just fine in my P-32 and Guardian. Looked like good stuff too. Lots of people have told me that the Fiocchi 73gr. FMJ is pretty hot for a .32, but I couldn't tell much difference from the Silvertips and Hydra-Shoks that I usually shoot in these small pistols. Now I've found some .25 cal Fiocchi FMJ. I wonder if it would be good in my Beretta Jetfire. Has anyone tried it?

Fiocchi ammo is excellent in 25 acp, very reliable...one of my first guns "Raven" was totally reliable with it.

Fiocchi is all I practice with anymore beacuse it's the cheapest .25ACP available to me that I know of. I haveen't had a single prob with it in my Jetfire.

enjoy,

I haven't owned a .25 in many years but with regards to the .32 ammo the Fiocchi JHP is much faster out of my Kel-Tec P32 than American brands.

Winchester's 60 gr. Silvertip went 847 fps.

Remington's UMC 71 gr. FMJ went 807 fps.

Fiocchi's 60 gr. SJHP went 934 fps.

9x19, you should be able to get about 1040 fps out of the Fiocchi. Several people have chrono'd them at near that. You should also be getting over 900 fps out of the others. Have you checked the chamber size ? (or the size of the fired case.) I had an oversized chamber in a Mustang .380 I had and it gained a lot of velocity once I got it fixed. BTW, I'm BirdDog from the Ruger Forum.

I've put a bunch of Fiocchi .32 through Cindy's Walther. Runs just fine, and recoil (what recoil?) is completely manageable.

Will,

I've put a couple hundered rounds of Fiocchi though my P-32 with no problems, and the recoil is far from unmanageable. Check out www.geocities.com/goldenloki/ and you'll find a lot of ammo information in the P-32 section.

Bdog,

I'll make it a point to measure some expended brass next time.

Thanks for the tip.

I used Fiochi in my P-32 and had a problem with the extraction. I called Kel-Tec and they said Fiochi was hot ammo and sent me a new, stronger spring for the extractor and a new extractor. Everything works great now.

BryceCanyonAD36, did Keltec suggest you not to use Fiocchi with normal springs? I wouldn't like to ruin my new P32 with too hot ammo. Here in Finland most shops seem to have Sellier & Bellot and/or Fiocchi in .32 ACP, mostly just FMJ. I noticed from Big Al's link S&B FMJ is the hottest .32, Fiocchi being the second. I also felt some more recoil with S&B than with Fiocchi. Have now shot 100 rounds thru it, mixed S&B and Fiocchi FMJs.

Ossi, I'm trying to recall what was said exactly and am having no success. I said the gun was malfunctioning in the extraction cycle and asked if they could fix it at the factory. To my recall, he said not to bother with shipping it, he would send a stronger extractor spring and said that, and here I paraphrase, Fiocchi is "hot" and that the stronger spring would fix it. When I opened the container that he sent there was also a new extractor, all at no charge. I did not have a "drift pin" small enough to fix it myself so I took it back to the gunsmith from whom I had purchased it and he fixed it, also no charge. It works like a champion now.
