A previous owner of my rifle decided that he needed to file the front sight down about 1mm. The front sight and barrel are marked 7. When I got the rifle it shot about 12 inches high at 100 yards (150M sight setting). I lowered the rear sight using two properly placed washers. That got the POI down to 8" high at 100 yards, but I would prefer to get it down to about 4 inches high. Does anyone know where I could buy an additional front sight for my M-39? One marked 8X or above would be nice.
