Finn family portrait...

My interest was piqued by a recent post regarding SKY M39 serial numbers on another forum and I decided to get mine out of the safe and check the s/n. Of course, it was at the back of the safe, so I had to pull out all the other Finns out to get to it.

Decided it was a great family photo op...

Woo Hoo!

I once had a person ask me why I felt I needed so many fire arms. He sai, "You only have two hands. So max...two pistols and one rifle."

I wasn't able to answer is question. Not because I don't know why, nut because I was stunned.

Looks like maybe you and Pat Burns were pretty tight :D
Or, did you pick them up "all over"?

Definitely an M39 love fest!

I like Finnish guns. Unfortunately I only have two:
One is a '34 Winter War Finn capture (pictured in another thread) and the other is this Suomi M34.

Doc...I would have had the same stunned reaction.

Tob...I got my first M39 from Pat...a "new bore" VKT that is the first one on the left. The rest I got mainly at various auctions at prices much lower than Pat's.

I made a list of the manufacturers and dates while I had them out...

1970 no maker 2
1968 no makers 1
1941 VKT 2
1942 SKY 1
1942 "B" 1
1942 Sako 3
1943 Sako 1
1944 VKT 4

I'm still in the hunt...would love to have a Tikka M39, a straight stock M39, and 1967 and 1969 no makers.

The problem is that the Finns have become a little pricey lately.

highpower...love that Suomi
