Finishing a fiberglass stock blank

I'm thinking about buying an MPI fiberglass stock blank from Brownells for my project rifle (an M1917 enfield). They say I'll need to "finish inletting the action and barrel channel, drill appropriate guard or mounting screw holds, make any cuts required for things like the bolt handle, and mount a recoil pad".

I've never done this before. My questions are:

1) Is this a good stock?

2) How hard is this? Am I more likely to screw it up than do a good job?

3) What tools do I need to do this? Any specialty tools, or anything that would make the job easier?

Dave, I guess I missed this question back in May. You have my apologies. The MPI stocks, IMHO, are not for beginners. There is just too much to be done to them. I've put several rifles into these stocks. There aren't any really specialty tools involved, just a lot of fitting. The triggerguard screw holes need to be drilled accurately and I'm not real crazy about the method they offer for attaching a recoil pad but I guess it does work. The last two I did, I charged $187.50 including the recoil pad. George

Thanks! That answers my question. $187 + $150 for a stock seems a bit expensive for the rifle I'm putting together.
