Finish on Uberti 1858?

I just picked up a used Uberti 1858 Remington clone. It looks like it has never fired a shot which is good but the finish is kind of flat black, not blued, almost parkerized. It has a rough texture to it that will probably be hard to keep clean. I'm almost inclined to strip it and reblue it or leave it in the white. Anybody know what kind of finish this might be? Any other Uberti I've seen has been blued.

Sounds like what you`ve bought if the finish Uberti calls a Millenium Finish ..its suppose to be very resistant to scratching and cleaning ...Not sure if there is a way to remove it and go back with a blueing someone else may have expecience with removeing it .
