finding the right scope rings

i recently bought a savage mark ii and it came with its own scope mounts. i just need to know what kind of scope rings i need to buy. the ones i have wont fit?
 
Is the receiver grooved to use the "tip-off" 22 type rings? If so, that's what you need. They're narrower than Weaver base rings.
 
Don't settle on the 3/8" .22, option

Personally, I always go with the 1" base and on this kid, I'd stick with Weaver, weaver style. The 1", will give you better footing. I like the Weaver Quads and you are going to make sure your get the proper height. You did not list which model you got and on my Target model, I mounted a 50mm objective scope. .... ;)

Are they just grooves or seperate base that stick up above the receiver.If grooved .22 tip off rings.If bases rings to fit Weaver bases they don't have to be Weaver brand just made for Weaver bases
