Find a smith to do trigger work on a USP

So, I really like my USP fullsize. A lot. But, the slack on the trigger when shooting SA is sort of irritating. Maybe three to five milimeters of play. Not horrible, just a little annoying.

I was wondering several things:

1. Is it possible to make a modification that might improve this condition? I know ya'll aren't *always* miracle workers, but could the slack be at least halved with relative ease?

2. How much might such a thing cost, top end? Like, I send it to General MacArthur's personal armorer, how much might it run?

3. Where do I find a smith?

I called a couple shops in the area, and personally inquired at the shop connected to my range. Overall the answer was, "That'll definitely void the waranty, and I won't touch it. I don't know anybody who will, either." When I explained that the weapon was second-hand, and so I hadn't inhereted the waranty, they told me I needed to contact H&K, and mumbled something about authorization.

Suggestions?
