finally purchased a new usp 40 just got 1 question

I own both a 9 and a 45 usp, have dry fired both and never had any problems. Asked the several H&K armourers and they said it's okay.
 
There have been several stories of .40 USP's throwing their firing pins during dry-fire. I don't think the 9's and .45's have this quirk. I'm not taking any chances and use a snap-cap in mine. Get a set of the 'Azoom' snap caps from Dillon Precision.
