Finally got my Smith 410 to the range...

Finally got my S&W 410 .40 to the range yesterday and sent 80 rounds down range.

Couple of things quickly became evident....

1. My eyes suck and I really need to start wearing my reading glasses to shoot.

2. The ammo I was shooting, Winchester 165-gr. FMJ flat points, were all hitting about 2 inches low at 8 meters. My friend tried a couple of shots and was hitting a lot closer to point of aim.

I'm not sure if it was me or if the sights are regulated for 180-gr. bullets.

3. No failures to feed, fire, or eject. Recoil also wasn't at all bad.

All in all, a decent range trip. I think I've found my ground-level home defense gun as soon as I get some decent HP ammo and make sure that it feeds correctly.

IIRC, some of the 165 grain ammo is lower power, soft shooting for range practice. Could the ammunition have caused the rounds to go low?
