Finally got a Kel-Tec P32 - Have questions

Man, this is one little dude. It's been in my front pocket for two days. I use my keys to break up the outline of the gun, but for this reason I have NOT been keeping a round chambered. I have many questions about this pistol, but a few are:

1. What's a good front pocket holster/scabbard for this pistol in particular?

2. Since Galco discontinued their wallet holster for fear of incurring the wrath of the BATF (can't remember the exact legal reasons - something like the federal laws forbidding "cane guns", etc. came into play and Galco thought they might be accused of basically creating one of the prohibited weapons just by selling the wallet holster). Sooooo, does anyone know where I can find the pattern for that or a similar wallet holster design, which I can take, then cut out some leather and stitch up?

3. Does anyone else find that the gun won't feed when there are 6 or 7 in the mag (5 or less is fine), due to the upward pressure put on the round - I can't even push the round out with my thumb, without first pushing down on it. I suppose this will probably loosen up no problemo once the gun is "broken in".

4. Why does the barrel have an "hourglass" shaped gradual indentation all the way around the barrel towards the end? I know the barrel must be wide at the end for good lockup, but why must it recede at all behind the front end of the barrel? Why can't it be just perfectly straight the whole length of the barrel?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Futo-I have a P-11 (9mm) and have had no problems. I heard a few guys at my gun shop complaining about feeding problems with P-32's, though. You can try polishing the speed ramp with a dremel tool. Also, go to www.ktog.com, a great KelTec site.
I think you can get the factory belt clip for the P-32. I have one on my P-11 and I don't need a IWB holster. Hope this helps.

Per NFA '34 a firearm that isn't obviously recognizable as a firearm can be construed by ATF as an "Any Other Weapon" or AOW. AOWs are regulated under Title II of NFA '34 and require a $5 tax stamp to possess. ATF decided that wallet holsters fall into the same category as pen guns and cane guns. If you make a wallet holster yourself you risk creating an unregistered AOW. Buy a good posket holster instead.

One other question: the mag release is plastic, but the "catch space" in the steel mag has pretty sharp edges, which will lead to the mag catch getting torn up rather quickly, seems to me, like using a steel mag in a Glock. Whaddya think?

And BTW, I don't necessarily agree that by placing a PISTOL into a HOLSTER shaped like a wallet, amounts to MANUFACTURING or POSSESSING an AOW, because the pistol is removable at any time - the "weapon" is not the pistol/holster, it's the pistol only - the holster is just that, a holster. If the batmen charged me with that, I believe I could win that legal battle (though expensive and tiresome it would surely be). Of course, to be safe, I should probably stick with a front pocket holster. Besides, the front pocket is easier to resist an attempted takeaway than a back pocket where a wallet holster would be carried, esp. a suprise takeaway, or a run-of-the-mill pickpocket - oops, my wallet, I mean my Kel-Tec is gone!

Futo, I have a P32 holster made by a company called High Noon Holsters of Florida. Makes carrying the little gun in a front pants pocket a breeze. I do not have the problem in feeding with a full mag. The gun will feed and fire everything reliably except CCI Blazers.

Futo- You are right about the mag catch. I have read suggestions along the lines of pressing the release button while inserting the magazine. It takes away some of the wear factor. I can tell you, I am pleased as I can be with my little spitwad. I have had no hangups with this great little gun, and it is one of the best buys I have made. I have installed the factory belt clip and I use it all the time. It makes the little pistol all but invisible. I can now carry a handgun virtually anywhere except a nudist colony. I have heard, though, that some can even carry concealed there, although I don't fall into that category. (lol)
J francis: Thanks for the tip on the pocket holster.
