Finally got a 1911 :-D :-D :-D

So I've been wanting a 1911 for quite a while, but all the low cost options arent an option for me here in Kali thanks to Feinstein et al. This weekend went to a gun show and was shocked to find an arsenal refinished Sistema LNIB for $399. The decision took about as long my hand reaching for my wallet. Now I just have to wait the 10 days (good thing too, cause if I were feeling irrational there's no way I would use one of my other 15 or so firearms to harm someone. Nope, it's just gotta be this new one).

So anyway I'm pretty excited to get it. I'm sure I will be forever dumping money into this thing to tweak it out, but that's what makes the hobby fun!

Pretty sure I'm gonna get a trigger job done first, after that I have no idea.

Congrats on your new 1911.

You may be pleasantly surprised to find out that like most 1911s you do not need to do anything to your pistol, though of course you may very well want to.

Lots of folks want to.

You see, Brasshopper, firearms development has NOT been retarded in the USA because of the success of the 1911 design, because no further development is possible.

Unless you are one of the fortunate few, you will (that is future tense) replace the hammer on that Sistema. Either that or buy a case of bandaids. They use the old long spur hammer and most folks get bitten rather badly.
