Finally ... Glock 42 extra mags are in

The standard one was not available so I took one of the mags ... Glock made ... with the finger extension. It looks nice and not too much bigger for CCW...:)

I found my mag at glockparts.com I may order another one without the extension and wait again. Even with the small size pistols, extra mags may be a life saving thing, not only for round counts, but for quick clearing of any problems within the functioning of the gun.

How many mags do you carry with your EDC, and does it change when you go from holster EDC to pocket EDC?

i have to admit that I only carry my firearm and what's in it. which is generally 15 rounds, but sometimes I take a wheelgun. I carry a full-size gun at work, and carry the revolver when going to the store or places where I am casually dressed. I should at least carry a speed strip when I cary the revolver, but I don't

I usually carry a double reload for my primary gun, and a single 17 round mag with the BUG. It just so happens, both guns can use the primary's mags.

Were you having troubles finding 42 mags? I just got a couple from Top Gun Supply last week, and a couple weeks back, I got a couple of others from Rock your Glock, or something like that. $23/ea. at both places.

I was looking for night sights for them (the 42's are still a bit of a challenge), and did a Google search. Found the mags while there, and figured I might as well pick a couple more up. most places I looked, seemed to have the mags. Prices varied a good bit though.

it is not just the rounds, but sometimes the quickest fix for some jams is yanking one and a fresh mag on hand to restart... Not a good idea to always go solo with reloads.

Even with my S&W 325 I carried an extra moon clip or two most of the time...

I picked up tritium front sights for mine, one each Glock and Meprolight. About $30 each.

I think Ameriglo is the only one who has a complete set. The one I saw was around $100 for the set. Im not familiar with them though. I figure Glock or Meprolight (Ive used both for a number of years, with good results) will have them soon enough.

after 2000 rounds, my pistol has NEVER had a jam. so, I know I should be prepared for anything, but how does a reload fix a jam quicker? either way I have to rack the slide right?

certain jams are quicker to clear by pulling out the mag along with racking the slide, and insert and rack and fire... We were trained in the cop business to do this and it works.
