Some of you may remember that earlier, around August, I was on the search for a Ruger .44 Mag Redhawk with a 4" barrel. I debated about getting a .45 Colt, but already had a Blackhawk convertible .45ACP and .45Colt.
Last week I went to the gun show and no luck there, but on the way home stopped at a LGS and they had a 5.5" Redhawk. I hemmed and hawed for the night and then went in the next day and struck a deal with them for some $$ and my Blackhawk .44Mag with the 10" barrel. I ended up with the new Redhawk, 2 holsters(one is a leather across the chest one and the other is an Uncle Mike's belt holster), and 2 speed loaders. Gun came with Hogue grips and the original grips were tucked inside one of the holsters. I feel good about the trade, now just have to find time to go fire it. I am sure I will carry this hiking more than I ever did the 10"in one.
Sorry for the long post.
