I have decided that next week I am going to purchase the berretta 92fs inox. I have been looking for a full size 9mm. I narrowed down to the HK 9mm USP and the Beretta. I like the beretta alot and soon I want to get a .45. So instead of getting a 9mm HK I going to get the .45 HK USP later and get the beretta now. The gun has a nice feel too it especial since i have slightly bigger than average hands. The gun is brand new and is going to cost $650 out the door. Everywhere else the gun cost around 700 not including all the registration fees and tax. What do you guys think, is it the right price and are there any complanits about the gun.

Turner's Outdoorsman in SoCal has had the Beretta 9X Brigadier Inox on sale for $579 twice in the last month. I bought a 96 (.40S&W) and really like it. Out the door was $644, so your price is about right if you're looking at the Brigadier.

The new wrap around rubber grips made for Beretta by Hogue are nice. I have since upgraded my Beretta 96 Border Marshal to the same grip.

$650 seems a bit high. if you look around on the internet you can probably find it for a better price.

if your not totally set on the 92FS INOX i'd go with the 92FS Brigadier INOX instead. it comes with better sights (everyone hates the red dots on the 92 INOX and the brigadier doesn't have them). also the brigadier slide reduces recoil and increases the guns durability.

but any beretta 92 is a good choice. i have a 92FS and a 92G Elite and like them both a lot. very accurate and reliable.

I have been on a 1911 binge lately, but I wouldn't get rid of my 92fs for nothing. It is a very reliable, accurate and well designed pistol. You should be well satisfied with your choice. As you know,Another great thing about the 9 mm is the ammo is cheap and abundant. Enjoy!

Another in favor of the Beretta. In spite of what you'll read on these boards and the near rabid devotion shown, the HK hasn't been tested the way the Beretta has. Having been able to shoot my Beretta Elite side by side with a USP full size in 9mm, the HK struck me as more hype than performance.

The Brig is a great choice, the Elite or Elite II will get you into the 'G' decocking system. Also, Beretta has been doing some special runs besides the Elite series. The Custom Carry has some great features. The Centurion is also a sleeper if you happen to luck into one. I saw one earlier at my dealers. Used, but looked pristine. $459 I already have one or I would have jumped on it. You never know what you'll find. Stick with Beretta, you'll love 'em!

When purchasing my first gun, I had a few parameters: hi-capacity, 9mm, external hammer, safety, name-brand, and full sized. That left me with the Beretta (standard blued 9mm) and the USP (full sized 9mm variant 1). After extensive research and testing, I ended up with the Beretta (actually, a stainless Italian version; it was just so gorgous I couldn't resist).

Anyway, 16 guns later and I still don't have a USP. Granted, it's on my list of things to buy (I actually have 3 USP compact hi-caps already). Anyway, in answer to your question, I'm very happy with my decision. I have put many many rounds through the Beretta, and have since shot a few USP's. Don't get me wrong, I like the USP. But if I had to choose one, I'd go Beretta.

P.S. The side bonus of the Beretta is that you can pick up 15 round factory clips for 30-40 bucks, while the 15 round USP clips will set you back about 85 each.
