Filling screw holes in a barrel

The other day I was trying to get my filler screws out of my sight screw holes, and one of the heads stripped out. So, I tried to use a easy out to get it out, but that didn't work. So I drilled the remains of the screw out so I no longer have threads in my rear sight screw hole. What is the best way to fill the hole? It needs to be something that will blue to match my barrel. Thanks

1/8" is pretty big...you're probably going to have to go to #6 X 32 screw

Lowe's and Home Depot and pretty much every hardware and auto parts store sell a set with a drill bit and tap for a paticular size. Just look for one that says #6-32.

Also buy a tap handle- one that will fit the tap. Don't try to do it with a pair of pliers or a cresent wrench. Seriously, it's worth the money. Be sure to oil the tap as well. Gun oil or 3 in 1 or even motor oil.

You can probably find an allen head set screw that size just make sure it's not too long. I'd put a drop of thread lock (medium strength) to keep it from backing out. Be for sure to clean up any metal shavings.
