Filling clips

I'm new to automatics, recently purchased a Stoeger Cougar 8000 9mm. Filling the two 15 round mags is a pain. They are pretty stiff by the time I get to 14 rounds.
Do any of you use the speed loader contraptions or what works well.

Or do I just need to "man up"?

For years and years I suffered in silence. Then I found the butler creek LULA loaders, best $30 I EVER spent in the shooting sports, they make them for single stack or double stack pistol mags, AR, AK mini 14/30. I can't recomend them highly enough.

My wife and I each have our own upLula loaders. In IPSC, having to quickly load 6 mags each is a slightly daunting task without them.

At the range I just stop at 5 or 10 at the most. It's not very often I try to stuff any magazine completely full.

This makes sense as to why many of you sound like you have multiple magazines.

Thank, I'm learning alot in reading past posts.

I don't need more magazines. By loading 5 or so at a time I can look over the target and assess what I may be doing wrong. Then I'll pick up my brass and load another 5 or so.

My ammo lasts longer that way and I'm really not there to see how much brass I can scatter. :)

for the bottomfeeders..
modified uplula for most any mag except buckmark/mk2/woodsman and similar angled 22 mags..

works great on cz standard and kadet mags, to 1911 mags:)

best $$ spent on any accessory i own..

hks speedloaders for the wheelguns..

Loading magazines without the use of mechanical aid is but folly. Even as early as the 1908 Luger came with a magizine loading device.

I have an HKS speedloader that works real nice with my Stoeger Cougar double stack magazines. Why struggle loading a clip when it really doesn't help you shoot better.
