FIE Model 15 hammer won't stay cocked

As the title states, I can't get the hammer to reliably stay back. Once it does decide to cock, it's a hair trigger. Dangerous. I just put this gun back together and I'm almost 100% sure it's right (it hasn't been in one piece for YEARS, so it isn't like it worked fine an hour ago and now it doesn't.). Anybody familiar enough with this piece of junk to know what I should look for?

That's what I love about this forum, resourcefulness! Thanks for the link, incidentally that's what I used to put this all back together. I think everything is in order...anybody have any idea a's to what it might cost to have someone take a look at it? I'm near Sioux Falls, SD.

Oh, and it was a used gun, but the individual parts don't look like they've been bubbad!

Well, if all the parts are there and in one piece, then it probably means the angular relationship between the hammer and trigger is wrong/worn. Not hard to fix, and shouldn't be expensive either.

Make sure both the mainspring (8) and the trigger and bolt spring (21) are not weak and have not taken a set. Make sure the trigger and bolt spring is correctly oriented and isn't rubbing anything. If those check out, you're into the engagement angles, for sure.
