As the title states, I can't get the hammer to reliably stay back. Once it does decide to cock, it's a hair trigger. Dangerous. I just put this gun back together and I'm almost 100% sure it's right (it hasn't been in one piece for YEARS, so it isn't like it worked fine an hour ago and now it doesn't.). Anybody familiar enough with this piece of junk to know what I should look for?

Is the trigger return spring, piece 21, intact? Is there any damage to the areas on hammer and trigger where they meet?
Did you buy this new or used? If used, maybe someone bubba'd the trigger for you.

That's what I love about this forum, resourcefulness! Thanks for the link, incidentally that's what I used to put this all back together. I think everything is in order...anybody have any idea a's to what it might cost to have someone take a look at it? I'm near Sioux Falls, SD.
