Anyone have experience with the FIE rimfire revolver? I understand it's made in Germany by Weinreich and it comes in 2 barrel lengths and either 6 or 9 shot configuration.
I have seen only the long brreled 9 shot version and it looked well made.
Thanks,

FIE, Firearms Import and Export could be the guilty party, they imported a number of inexpensive firearms from Europe, and after the 1968 GCA assembled a number of firearms in Florida, By making the frame ( the gun part ) and importing the small parts, assembling them themselves they could be marked " Made in The US ". Herman Hans Weihrauch, AKA Arminius, still makes the Windicator for EEA. Now this is only my opinion, on a scale of 1 to 10, with Rohm being at the bottom, I would place Weihrauch at a 5 in quality. Others may hold a different view, either for or against.

Weihrauch made pretty decent air rifles.

I believe the revolver that you describe was put together in a factory in Hialeah that I used to pass every day on my way to work when I lived in south Florida.

At any rate, the frames are Zamak, and I would stay away from one.

Save up, and spend a little more to get a decent quality .22 revolver, such as a Ruger Single Six or Bearcat.

yeah my dad bought one buy mistake thinking it was a Single Six with a few other guns. its nothing special, cheap construction (zamak) sleeved barrel. was very disappointed when it got home.

I was hoping for a good review but I'd rather hear the truth!
See, I'm looking for a full sized 6 shot Peacemaker style S/A.
I thought I had one when I bought a Cimaron Plinkster but it's guts gave it up at around 1100 rounds of LR's. Total junk, some kind of alloy frame, it cocked like it was full of gravel, grouped terrible and the only good thing was the size and shot count.
I just wanted something to approximate my 4 5/8" Ruger Vaquero.
I just decided to build and buy reloads and remington Factory LRN through the Vaquero.
Even though it's a 7/8 scale revolver, I'm leaving the rimfires to my Single Six! That's a GOOD rimfire S/A!!!

Get a Heritage Rough Rider if you're looking for an inexpensive S/A 22. Sure there are better guns than a RR, (think Ruger Single-Six) but they cost quite a bit more. The Rough Rider isn't bad at all for the money.

im going with 6.

i did want the usfa 12/22 cuz it was fullsized but getting out 12 empties with the rod kinda killed it.

with the 4.75 barrel <3

Ordered me an Uberti 1873 Cattleman .22lr 6-shot 4.75" today.
It's being imported by Taylor & Co.
Should be here Monday.
See what you guys do to me!
