Fiber Optic sight that won't fail?

I've been shooting some matches and even during range sessions, and at least 75% of the people who have these sights have had problems. Mostly they are breaking for one reason or another or just plain pop off.
Can I hear from someone who had this problem and found a brand or mounting technique that actually works? Over time, with holster?
The nailpolish on front sight just ain't cutting it as I age. Thanks.

I have not had a fibre optic insert kick out since I learned to apply a drop of Krazy Glue at each post in the blade. I lost a number of them before that.

I have not had problems with the rods breaking or otherwise failing, as long as they are properly secured in the first place. I'll change them either because repeated exposure to solvents has reduced the light transmitting qualities, or because I just want a different color. I prefer the Dawson Precision sight, because the rod is supported along its entire length, and because it's secured by melting at both ends. I have also had good service from an EGW sight, which is more conventional in appearance, with the rod supported only at intervals along its length. It is secured at the far end with a drop of adhesive in a blind hole, rather than being melted on both ends. It makes changing the rod a bit of a hassle, as the old adhesive must be cleaned out before a new rod can be installed, but I've never had a rod fall out. There are some fiber optic sights that have the rod encased in clear plastic, and that might serve to protect the rod both from knocks and chemical damage, but I don't know how durable the plastic "lens" is?
