I've seen so many fiber optic front sights break at IPSC matches, due to improper installation and the fragile nature of the sights. Do you actually want the front sight to break on you at the worst time, when you have to use your gun to defend yourself or family? So my answer is no. If you really want some kind of high visibility front, why not use a tritium (they are expensive) or just paint the front sight with fluorescent color paint (green, orange, red, etc.).
