I was reading about feral hogs on the Internet and kept seeing Vermont (were I live) mentioned as having a population long story short I did some research and the state is claiming there is a population less than 100 A little south of were interstate 89 and 91 meet west of the coneticate river. Should I be worried will thes few individuals breed and creat a Hog apocalypse as mentioned on other post on this forum . I am a hour and half north is any one from that area or traveled throw that can confirm a population?

Wild hogs are one of the fastest adapting and reproducing animals in the wild. Kill everyone that you see!!!

A female hog can come into estrus 3 times a year and can have anywhere from 6-12 pigs. The female pigs can start reproducing within 6 mounths of being born.

I have pics on my trail cameras of a particular set of hogs. The first pics I got of them there was a couple 250+ sows with about 20 little pigs maybe 6in tall. This was febuary of last year and im still gettin pics of the same pigs that are now around the 200lb mark. I know its the same group of pigs cause in the group there is two that are red with black dots and a solid red one. They are always together and I hvae started gettin pics of some more pigs with a few younger sows.

Kill everyone you see!! They tear up farmland and food plots and compete with the rest of the wild life for food and will win almost everytime.
