Felons Found at a Gun Show

The local Charlotte news tribe proudly proclaimed that undercover officers caught someone selling a gun without the required paperwork. Later the policy said they had undercover officers going to gun shows and trying to make illegal purchases for the LAST TWO (2) YEARS. By my count that is something like 6 gunshows.

Yessirre, bubb! We got outselves a major problem here with bad guys gettin' guns from these gun show.

Back in the 60s everyone knew how to figure out who the undercover cops were. They are the ones suggesting blowing up or shooting something. They suggest Randy Weaver cut the barel "right here" which just happens to be 1/8" short of legal. I wonder if Weaver measured it??? I have been to gun shows where people warn me that "that guy is trying to buy a gun for a friend "straw purchsase" or other strange things.

Personally, I regard it as a serious flaw in maturity when a person confuses the exception with the rule.

Finding one error, or in this case, a criminal that buys a gun from a private party does not invalidate allowing private sales to proceed without governmental interference. If this was a major problem, I would think that LEO's would be haunting these shows much more frequently, trolling for felons.

The 20th Century proved to many that permitting only governments to possess weapons was very bad policy. Millions died as a result. Street thugs are way behind in this killing contest ...

Of course, this wasn't a mystery to the founders of this nation, John Locke, or even many Greek and Roman philosophers. Still, some folks can't grasp the lesson. For them, we're so 'civilized' these days that these old concepts are simply no longer applicable. Oh, ye suckers.
