Feinstein's other list

In a State (MA) that bans water in plastic bottles, you can expect that anything with "gun" attached to it will be "banned". Is there a waiting period in MA before you can buy water in plastic bottles?

As far as I know, it's just one town within Massachusetts (Concord). The idea is that using plastic for single-serving water bottles is a waste of petrochemical resources, and is a big contributor to plastic in landfills.

I found it humorous her lust includes a .22LR version of an AR but only one maker/model, the Highpoint carbine, etc and declares they are only suitable for military use. Look out Marines, Diane has your new Highpoint Assault Carbine picked out for you.

Her list reads like a ignorant person browsing forums picking up names. Some are specific models others are an entire make (Olympic Arms) and then those that can't possibly be classed as anything near an assault firearm.

More than half the guns on the list are not and never have been in use by any military in the world, ever.

I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life, plastic water bottles are not banned. I don't know where you got your info from. Also there is no waiting period for guns in MA so not sure where that came from either.

Water bottles ain't the topic, folks.

I'm guessing the "safe" list will be very specific. Example: Remington 760, .30-06; Remington 760, .270; and so on.

The idea of a "safe" list means newer guns can be forbidden because they're not on the list. Anyone who's dealt with California's "approved" list knows what I'm getting at, and it's a sneaky way to close the pool of available firearms in a few years.

We have a "safe" list here in MA. To get on the list, manufacturers must submit to a long and costly testing/certification process for each "sku" item they wish to sell in MA. Many chose not to sell their wares in MA as a result. We have a substantially reduced pool of available firearms as a result.

+1, and worse yet, IMHO this could effectively quash innovation in the semi-auto pistol market, because manufacturers would be afraid to introduce anything really innovative for fear that their R&D money would be wasted if the ATF were to deem it an "assault weapon". :(

IMHO this is a similar issue to the FAA certification standards for new aircraft, which have long been accused of being overbearing as it relates to small and simple 2-6 seat prop-powered general aviation airplanes. Many such models on the new aircraft market are fundamentally a modified version of a design with roots in the 1930s through the 1960s, because it's easier, cheaper, and more straightforward to certify a modification than to take chances with something all-new.

She's deigned to let us keep our deer rifles. How very kind.

Just reclassify your new ar15s as model 870? Just change the name to something on the approved list.
Considering that it bans "AR type rifles," I don't think that would be enough.

All AR types, including the following:...Barrett M107A1; Barrett M82A1;... Beretta CX4 Storm;... PS90,... HK–PSG–1

There are others in the the list too, but those just really stood out...How the heck did all those become AR-type? That's really troublesome that if this were to become law there would then be precedent for just about anything being an "AR Type".
