This is just a curiousity post. I have an FEG SMC-380 and I couldn't be happier with it. 100% reliable so far, accurate, and very well built. Having shot several Walther ppk's, I would put the FEG right up there with the German models and surpassing the American ones.
Any other SMC owners out there want to put in thier 2 cents?

Just a fan....

I am not an owner...but an experienced fan? My favorite smc is the 918. I shoot one at a local range alot. Very snappy to shoot.
My fav FEG is the PMK 380...larger grip and that oh so important extra round...hey when you have a 380 for defense. 1 extra is alot. I like the pa63 and ad9...just a longer barrelled PMK.
They are very dependable...I have put over 1000 rnds thru the 918...my hand still hurts just thinking about. Accurate and a good
carry size. All in all, a very good line of smaller guns.
There are 2 smc 22's NIB at a local dealer for 109 $$$ tempting, very tempting.

Shoot well

I have one, top quality, accurate, small easy to carry,I believe it is one of the best 380's on the market considering the price.

No dissent here!

I recently bought my old SMC-380 back from the friend who'd bought it from me. It isn't that I have any use for the thing (not a big fan of the .380 for personal protection) . . . I just missed shooting it.

I've been very impressed with the accuracy of my SMC pistol, and the value. Its fit and finish aren't up to Walther (or even Interarms) standards. The reliability is better than the Interarms "Walthers" I've fired (I only recall firing German .32s, which worked flawlessly with ball - though I handled lots of other German Walthers when I worked in a gun store . . . oh, those .22 PPKs!). The accuracy is the same. The ergonomics are better (no "Walther bite" here) . . . except for that stupid grooved trigger face. Triggers are smooth as the Walther-USAs (and every bit as heavy!).

Frankly, I can't think of a (noncollecting) scenario where I'd recommend a friend buy a Walther over an FEG. It's a slightly more modern design that seems to be more reliable and be just as good in other areas. I agree, it's a lot of gun for the money and one of the best .380s on the market.
