Feg Pa-63

From what I've seen, its Hungary's answer to the Walther PP and the Makarov, combining the design of the Walther and the power of the 9x18mm cartridge of the Makarov. They're good weapons, if you have smaller hands. If you have large hands like I do, you may be better served with the Makarov, Both go for about $130 or less

Great little gun, accurate,very dependable.
Pa-63 has an alloy frame, wt. approx 22oz.
Feg makes an updated model smc918 smaller,
hard to find in 9x18, very easy in 380.
The pa-63 has a good single action trigger and
a very heavy double action, this can be changed
by installing a different spring.
Because of the lite wt recoil is very noticable
in 9x18. But for sure a good buy at less then
$100.

Makarov.com has lots of info. I had an SMC-380, a similar (tho smaller) pistol made by the same crew (FEG), and I really thought highly of it. These guns are great values. If you run a search on "FEG", you'll find a lot on these pistols here.

There's no way you'll go wrong with a PA-63 at that price. Have fun with it!

The FEG I had was more accurate than any Walther PP series pistol I have owned. It was flat out a good pistol and I would still own it if I hadn't got into a trade. I prefer the Mak but I have large hands but the FEG is a very good pistol for the money. Regards, Richard

Watch for peening on the decocker barrel. I have been told of instances by owners where this was peened so badly that the gun discharged when being decocked.

They are good guns for the money, but the steel is not the best. Same for the machine work.

If all goes well I'm going to be a proud owner of a PA-63 from J&G Sales Saturday afternoon. I can't remember their exact deal right now, but I'm hoping that I can find a mil-surp model in the store. In this case, "Hand-Picked" will really be "Hand-Picked!"

If you've never handled one, it certainly seems like a very ergonomic pistol and I'm excited at the prospect of owning one.

Check Six.

I have been very happy with both my FEGs. I think you'll really enjoy this pistol. Please give us a range report after you shoot it.
