I recently bought an FEG PA-63 pistol that
shoots well and I like. For the cheap price
I was surprised it was as well made as it was.

I want to do two things to improve it:
1. Improve the double-action trigger pull.
Can I cut a coil or two out of the hammer
spring and still have reliable ignition?

2. Get some better grips. This is basically
a Walther PPK copy, will Walther after-
market grips fit the or does anyone
know of a supplier?

Any help on this or other info. on this
would be much appreciated.

About the trigger - visit the Makarov page, www.makarov.com, then look for the "other pistols" page for info on modifying a PA-63.

Replacement grips are a problem, but Hogue HandAll slip-on grips work fine.

The PA-63 is NOT really a Walther copy. It's an original design made by FEG, an old Hungarian gun maker, and was the standard Hungarian police/military pistol.
