I believe the original came in blued and parkerized models, but mine is dull matte black, and can be easily distinguished from the originals, once the preservative oil is removed.
Don't know if the trigger system has changed, but I suspect not.
It still comes with a magazine disconnect that I haven't removed, but intend to remove in the near future.
I haven't shot it enough to determine the accuracy, but the first trip to the indoor range was very encouraging, and produced a tight five shot group, with three of the bullets in one hole, at 30 feet from a rest.
If your looking for a proven product, with good reliability and accuracy, and full HP parts compatibility, I'd advise picking up one of the previous models, until the jury is in on this one.
Of course for the price you won't be out much on a new model, if it doesn't prove out. FEG does have a good reputation, so I doubt they would release something they haven't tested.
Good luck,
Bill
