FEG GKK-40

I saw a post elsewhere about converting the FEG P9R to .40 cal by just changing the slide and barrel assembly.
So far on the Internet everything takes me to the FEG .45 cal.
I have found very few post on the .40 caliber version.
I would like to find a slide and barrel assembly
anyone have a source?
Brownells at one time had many FEG parts but only a small hndfull now.

You are probably out of luck.

They were uncommon to begin with and haven't been imported in years. For that matter, FEG hasn't even made guns in years.

Numrich is a great source, but it looks like they don't have anything this time.

Seems to be the situation.
I'm wondering if the .45 slide assy will work and a Browning or S&W barrel and spring, will work.
The FEG Hi Power, most all the Browning parts interchange.
The FEG is forged frame. When S&W and FEG went to the .40, S&W had to increased the dimensions, of their cast frame to take the pounding. FEG did not.
There has to be someone out there with the info.

I'm wondering if... a... S&W barrel and spring, will work.
Although I've never had an FEG apart, I've had Smith metal-frame autos apart, and based on pictures of FEG barrels I'm seeing online, I suspect that the answer to this question is a great big NO.

Although the pistols lock up in a conceptually similar manner, the FEG barrel looks quite different dimensionally.

[EDIT TO ADD] I'm assuming you're talking about using a barrel from a S&W pistol on an FEG. If you're talking about using a .40 S&W FEG barrel on a 9mm FEG pistol, kindly disregard. I plead total ignorance. :)
