Anyone know the dealer cost on the FEG single action Hi Power copy?
Arsenal Arms has an ad for them in the latest Shotgun News.
thanks

Dealer price is around $250, a little less.

Apparently, they're pretty good guns. The newest GUN WORLD has an article on them and the author raves about the gun.

(Of course the writer is DUANE THOMAS, God's model pistolero and the humblest man writing for gun mags, so you may wish to consider the source...)

Dealer wholesale cost should be around $179, consumers should expect to pay around $240. (I have one and know two other people who have bought them recently.) I paid about $210, anothe guy paid $230, another around $240, of course at gun shows I've seen them priced at $200-$400

One point to consider about the current FEG HP clones, they're no longer 100% BHP compatible. They've made significant changes to the barrel and slide, and doubtless other parts. The magazine article you were reading is most likely written about the old FEG-9HP. I have one of those, and it's guts are exactly like my Inglis HP. Well, not exactly, since they've changed the extractor to an external model on newer HP's.

My point is, be sure of what you're buying, because what's in the store is most likely not what you're reading about in a gun rag, since the delay between the author testing the pistol and the publication is significant.

The FEG pistols in general are well made of good quality steel, properly hardened and an excellent buy, especially at today's prices. In most case, though, they can use some TLC in the form of smoothing up, removing burrs, breaking sharp internal corners, and a sort of general cleanup. As a DIY job, it will take an hour or so with a stone, but will be well worth it. (Don't overdo it, though, and ruin any parts!)
