So what do you guys think is good to have on hand for 12ga shotgun defense ammo? I figure 2-3/4 for anything. The more drywall friendly the better but birdshot seems to be too iffy. I'm torn between #4, #1, and 00 buck I think. 00 seems classic, but a reduced recoil #1 might be just as effective. Any thoughts? Worth ordering the reduced recoil rounds or just run down to walmart and pick up whatever they have? Is the reduced recoil good for slugs too? I figure I might as well at least have a few of those too.
