I have a preference for all-leather products, so that's why I searched and found the Alessi holsters. My thought is that they'd conceal better than the kidex-leather ones. The Minotaur has an excellent reputation and has the edge in adjustability. The Parker looks very nice, has a cant angle that looks attractive to me and at an excellent price. They'd be for a Glock 19.

Inputs appreciated.

I've used the Minotaur with full-size and compact M&P45s. It works well. The belt hooks are relatively obvious, but it seems only other shooters recognize them, and even then they often miss them.

I have two Minotaur MTAC Holsters, for a 4.25" 1911 Dan Wesson, & for 5" 1911 Springfield Armory TRP. I also have a OWB Comp-Tac Paddle Holster holster that fits both 1911's in.

So far, Minotaur 2-Rest o the World 0 :D.

Alessi has the attractive of the all-leather thing, Parker is cant angle and price. Parker and Alessi users, please show up.

Nordeste, for quality IWB leather, I have bought many, but always end up falling back on my Sam Andrews holsters. He's prepping for a big gun show in Dallas right now, so there's a bit more wait time unless you want something he already has in inventory, but he makes very high quality, long lasting, trouble free gear.

Unfortunately, you can't order from Sam's website. He is reachable by phone, US east coast daytime hours, and you can order by mail. Very nice guy, easy to deal with, and a former cop. (I used to live about five miles from his shop, and would go over and shoot the bull with him.)

Your advice is greatly appreciated, MLeake ;). These products look like fine ones. I'm in no hurry. I still don't have the G19 but plan on ordering it in a couple of months or so, so I still have time to do some research. It's clear for me that it's worth to order it from the US. Good news is that there's someone living in Florida that has offered to bring it over for me :D.

the alessi watch six is one of the best holsters i've ever owned ,and i've owned dozens of holster.
now i buy mostly UBG strikers which is a watch six copy from a smaller company with faster turn around times and much better customer service

^ Thanks!. Honestly, the Alessi was in the "pole position" of my list until MLeake showed up with the MacDaniel II. That "torque plate" feature looks rather interesting.

I have the Minotaur and really like it. I've been wearing it almost every day for over a year now. Super comfortable, and the adjustability is great. The standard belt hooks are very obvious if you plan to use it tucked, as MLeake mentioned. I got the C-Clips later on and they are much better both in terms of security and visibility.

Edit: Don't own the Parker, but notice how on that holster the leather backing comes all the way up around the butt of the gun, where the other holsters don't have any leather there. Depending on how you wear your holster, that may interfere with your draw. I wear mine very tight to my body, and when drawing my thumb usually scrapes against my undershirt. I have a feeling that with a holster like that my thumb would get caught between the holster backing and my undershirt, preventing the draw.

On Alessi holsters:

I've used Alessi holsters for several years. I will get more as my carry guns amass.. I've given a couple as gifts.

I use three: All are TALON or TALON PLUS. One each for a 1911 (6 yrs), Smith M-65, and a Smith 6906, in the TALON PLUS. All three fit well, keep the gun supported, and help to conceal well. The Talon Plus has an added piece of leather that helps with re-holstering. Otherwise, they are the same. They will hold the gun even upside down, and keep the triggers well covered. My only complaint is they no longer seem to have the cordovan color, like my first 1911 one is. Prices have gone up a bit since Lou Alessi died, but that's to be expected in this day and age.
Good luck, -West
