feedback on Sig p245 stainless

STAGE 2

How does this compare to the USP. I saw the all stainless on Sig's website an its kinda appealing. Most importantly though, does it come in single action? Owner/shooters opinions please.

Much shorter grip length than even the USP compact--definately made more for concealed carry. No SA only version of a 245, but I have heard rumors of a 239 with a thumb safety that can be carried "cocked and locked". I think there may be a pic posted over on sigforum.com

Wow...Stainless? I bet that is a real beauty!

The one I owned was in a blued finish. Nice weapon, excellent DA trigger. My only complaint is that it did recoil a bit with the light alloy frame and that the mags will pinch you if you aren't careful on a rapid reload. I ended up trading her off a bit later.

I now own a HK USP C .45 and I am very pleased. SA/DA, Cocked n locked or DA w/safety for those who aren't even comfortable with DA. Plus loaded chamber indicator, ambi mag release and higher capacity. Polymer frame and HE finish slide. Great corrosion resistance here where I need it on the Gulf in FL.

The biggest benefit the Sig had was the trigger. Sweet. The HK is a military feeling trigger.

If I were to buy a Sig I'd opt for its full size counterpart.
