Federal Trophy Bonded Tip on whitetail

Anybody use Federals Trophy bonded tip bullets on whitetail? if soo how was the performance? i kowww this kind of bullet is not required to kill a deer just wondering how this bullet would perform on thin skinned game. thanks for the help!!

Seems like a waste using this type of bullet for deer. Most any decent nonvarmint bullet is adequate for this size game.
The problem I see with the controlled expansion, high weight retention bullets is they aren't really quick killers on smaller game like deer. They tend to zip right through w/o much expansion.

Do you ever see those guys on tv shoot a deer and it runs 100 yards? That's what they're using. The bullet goes right through without expanding and using up the energy inside the deer (shocking power). Weatherby figured this out years ago. I use good old CoreLoks and the animals drop on the spot. It's like these magnum monster special shells they sell you to kill turkeys. Duh.
